The simplicity of the Roll-Down Scale represents its second most significant advantage. The scale is essentially a static member of the overall pipe handling table, requiring only that one and only one pipe at a time cross over to measure and record the weights. Roll a pipe across the section, get the weight. That’s it… no more settling time, no more stop and lift or stop and lower on to load cells.
This is a modern scale, with modern electronics. It is equipped with a native Ethernet port for rapid data transfer to monitoring equipment. Implications for WMS system configurations are manifold, and can bear directly on the cost of installation by simplifying the pipe handling requirements associated with scale operations.
